Hitler’s Bunker

Between Occupation & Resistance

a little-known site……

Located in the Ardennes forest at Brûly-de-Pesche, near Couvin, the Grand Quartier Général where Hitler stayed in June 1940 is an important memorial site of the Second World War in the province of Namur (Belgium).

Thanks to new audio guides available in 4 languages, the exhibition gives you a better understanding of the Führer’s entourage and even his private life during his stay at Brûly-de-Pesche. Another part of the museum is devoted to the lives of local residents throughout the period of occupation between 1940 and 1944, and to the actions of the Resistance. In the inn, discover a room revealing precious memories of our Couvinois heroes and a documentary paying tribute to General Piron and the priests Dosogne and Rousseaux.

REVIEWS

Very interesting place for not a lot of money. We were here for a couple of hours just looking around. Can do guided tours or audio guide tours around the site.

This place is where H oversaw the invasion of France. The whole village was evacuated and made in to a HQ. Even an airstrip was constructed. Men of the organisation TOD even made a small park and garden for H. where he could walk in the shade. The seats, tables, bridges are all still there. His guesthouse is now a museum and you can even go inside his bunker. This is a truly historic place. The museum is well put together. Well organised with lots of reading material and audio tours. You can easily spend a few hours here.
Incorporated in the museum’s story is the resistance who were based just a few kilometres away from this place.
